New trans, new clutch, car won't move.

    so as i'm pushing the car up the driveway i leave it in first to see what it does and i can easily push it still... could the clutch be disengaged?

      Did you put it into 4th gear and try to see if the car moves forward with the clutch released?

        If there is nothing wrong with the trans itself, you might check to see if the clutch disc was installed backwards. If the protruding splined hub is facing the flywheel, it won't let the disc make full contact with the flywheel.

              I made that mistake once,so...i always mark old disc orientation. Do the same for EVERY flex plate when doing auto trans work. Same,same for spacer plates.
