Does it have an adjustable cable? Is the clutch fully engaging?

Sounds like you need to crawl under there and check to make sure the clutch is engaging. Probably a stupid question, but is the driveshaft hooked up?

I'll bet that's happened more than once on this board, but you'll NEVER hear about it.

Drive shaft Is in, got mad at the car so I left it alone today. Factory clutch cable but fork shows to move in and out.

How about an aftermarket firewall adjuster?

Is maybe something jacked up inside the tranny? Like shift fork or something not letting the tranny go completely into gear?

Did the throw-out bearing fall out of the fork it sits in? Is the input shaft the correct length? Gotta be something simple.

Probably. Never happened to me, but I have done some bonehead shit before. The stupidest for me was installing a flexplate backwards.

Hmm, that doesn't sound good. It may be something internal, bent shift fork or something. Is the rear end ok?

Ima pull it back out after I check fork and throw out bearing. Hope it's not something Internal in the trans. A

Could be that the trans it not all the way in. Or pressure plate not tightened. Throw out bearing. Only takes a few min to rip it out.

This is also why I always start the car open header before I finish up. I've got confidence in my work but its still better to check.

Aftermarket shifter? Make sure the stops on the shifter are letting you put the trans all the way in gear

If its a used trans, its very possible. Before you pull it back a part, put it into 4th gear and see if it tries to move foward.

Guessing that someone effed up on the rebuild. Not sure how the t5 shift fork is, but they may not have gotten it hooked up right.
