Leave me and my vert out of this! I'm guessing it's a different Doug... lol. I like the concept of a blow-thru intercooled vortech setup. Nice job.

Love how that it sounds with the Blower. Def should be a high 7 second car now with traction

True that. He was having some trouble with the intercooler setup. His car isn't running right.

Where is your MAF meter? It needs to be after your BOV or you're dumping metered air, which causes problems. On my turbo'd car, the BOV is before the intercooler and the maf is about where you have the BOV now. If you're MAF is on the inlet side of the supercharger, you need to recycle the air from the BOV back into the system, not letting it vent to atmosphere. This is actually called a bypass in that configuration.

The maf is on the inlet of the vortech. I took out the bov for now becuase I thought it was making/causing the noises. But it is still doing it. So when I am fully recovered I will get it all set up right. I will also place bybass right after the vortech. and i know it needs to dump in to inlet after the Maf. I need to make a nicer intake pipe from maf to the inlet. Hint, hint Aaron(CRASH) lol.

On my bov it has two small ports, the upper is the bost/vacuum control for the valve, but where does the other small lower port go? You can just see it in the pic. The smaller port is a vent for the diaphragm, must be left open.

I believe the one on the side is where your boost/vac should go and the top will be open to atmosphere. It should open the BOV when you get on it a bit, then let off (dropping into strong vac). BUT, if it's dumping metered air to atmosphere with your MAF setup the way it currently is, it's going to give you problems.

yeah the port on the purple hat is the control port for boost/vacuum. and the smaller one bellow it ,I just read is just a breather for the diaphragm that should NOT be caped. i was running the car with no connections(boost/vacuum line nor a hose to the maf to vortech pipe) to the bov thinking it would just stay closed, And as it turns out it was .After I took it out and replaced it with a regular straight tube, it still made the crazy noises. They were all coming from the vortech dealing withe the back pressure from the intercooler. I needed to put it in a better location anyway, right after the blower discharge output.

Its called compressor surge (crazy noise). Intercoler shouldn't be that restrictave. Did it make that noise before the intercooler? I agree you need to put bov before the intercooler and recuirculate it. Triple check the boost/vacume source hose location as most leave the top port vented and the side is reffrence. How much boost?

No it made no noises at all. right now about 7 to 9lbs. The only changes to the car are the intercooler system and I clocked the volute about 100* down. will check again on the ports but from what i found from diagrams on the net it shows as I described it.
