Fucking bots...
I went to S.A. in my '12 the weekend before last and the car still was still getting 31.5 mpg, Im almost at 8k miles I was thinking it would have gotten a little better mpg but I did open it up a few times up to triple digit speeds but no A/C. Last trip it was about 3k miles, A/C and 65-75 mph average and it was at 32.3. No mods other than a drop in K&N and Mobil1 5w-20, I also only run 89 octane.Originally posted by SilverbackLook all you want, she can't find anyone else who treats her as bad as I do, and I keep her self esteem so low, she wouldn't think twice about going anywhere else.

I too have a kona blue auto. I love the car & the transmission! It is amazing what you can do with that trans. With a tune you can pick up tons of throttle response & make the trans shift firmer and down shift faster. Besides the power you will gain. I would skip the boss intake and the gears. I ran 11's every pass with an h pipe, catback, cold air, & our custom dyno tune. Right before I put the blower on, I put a converter in my car. It woke it up big time, it felt like it knocked off a half second. Later the same day I tuned one with similar mods but with gears instead of the converter. Mine felt way quicker, and still cruised 80mph at 2100rpm.
I say long tubes, mid pipe, catback, cold air, converter, & custom HPP dyno tune. For power mods, then solid lowers, double adj. upper, and have your pinion angle set correctly. Solid low to mid 11 second quarter mile with drag radials.
Then the KB for sure. Bolt it on with a fuel system and go 9's from that point.
We recently finished building the motor in another local kona blue car. It made over 900rw & went nearly 120mph in the 1/8 on its first few hits down the track.Blue 99 cobra with flames 7.7@180, 4.9@146 in the 1/8 on 275 radials. Getting it done on a true 10.5" tire, with a 3.5" bore, 32 valves, and 4 cams.
The daily: Sonic blue 03 Cobra with twins 1,063rwhp @ 25 psi
The daily part 2: Kona Blue 2011 5.0 KB 4.2l KB, AR headers & midpipe, 25psi on E-85 900+RW thru the stock auto.
9.91@138.8 on 18's full weight with 750RW

If you are thinking of getting a blower - I would definitely push towards a twinscrew - Theses new motors are hurting for torque down low and the twinscrew REALLY wakes them up.

Best run to date was 12.5 @112 with just intake and catback with Bama E-tune out at DR. Stock suspension and tires. Gotta get the coin ill be doing a custom tune, but for now the e-tune has done just fine for me.
