It most definitely is. Would you like to donate $15,900 so I can purchase the Renntech stage 2 package?
If you're feeling generous you could add $4,595 so I can purchase headers.
Sounds reasonable, sure ! it'll still be slow

Oh it's easy, Alldata has everything you'd need! It actually only pays 4.8 hours so it can't be too bad.
1Remove cylinder head covers (6)2Position crankshaft to 0 degrees after ignition TDC of cylinder 1 NOTE: Engine must not be rotated backwards.
3Remove chain tensioner (5)4Take off camshaft bearing bridges (7 and 8) NOTE: Installation: Inspect basic position of camshafts, if necessary.
5Use a 2 mm drift to press compensation element (11) of the relevant cylinder out of the roller rocker arms (9) CAUTION: Do not use a magnet!
The slide surface of the compensation element (11) would get magnetized. This can cause minute iron chips to accumulate, which in turn can damage the compensation element (11) and the cam.
NOTE: Installation: The disk in the roller-type rocker arm at the top must face downwards with slots towards the compensation element (11)! Compensation elements which have not been replaced, must be re-installed at the same point.
Extended warranty ftw. I bought mine, and in less than a month after buying it, it was ticking BAD. Shop replaced the follower on #7, and I drove a brand new car while it was being fixed.
After more reseach, I found that the ticking was usual.
Haha. The aftermarket on these cars are ridiculous. It's fast enough to pick on most cars on the road
!
there bad bitches for sure, I cant afford.

I don't mind working on my stuff. Typically i'd save money not having the warranty, but I guess if something went out like the tranny, then it'd be a different story.
A lot of MB people are saying the ticking is pretty normal and a few others took videos of their cars and it did the same thing. It just bothers me, so i'll probably end up fixing it. The hard part is going to be trying to determine which lifters are making noise. 3 per cylinder FTL!
Thanks. Does Alldata have pictures? If so I might sign up for it just for that. I appreciate it, broski!
Yes, the torque sequence on the cam caps is the scariest looking thing about the entire process. A single car subscription is around $25 a year. The difference between them and a Haynes manual is that if their site is missing something that's in a factory manual they'll fax it to you.
