  • Shielded Gas Cylinder Exchange Places??

It's time to fill my mixed gas bottle and I don't feel like driving across town to do it.

For those of you in the HEB/N. Fort Worth area, where are you exchange/filling your welding bottles?

Who has the best deal? Has anyone used Home Depot to exchange theirs? How does their price compare?

    Thanks!

My neighbor has used the Big Orange place. He has gone around and bought "garage sale" cyls. that are out of date and exchanged them with them....

Do you happen to remember what their rate is?

<--- Too lazy to call and ask.

Never mind. I broke down and called. About $40.

A few dollars more than matheson and air gas but I don't have to drive across town.

          Thanks for your input guys!

I use home depot exclusively now. It's too much hassle for me to go across town during normal business hours and for the few extra bucks - Home Depot is MUCH easier.

I have found out, that the middle sized bottle of mixed gas seems to be out of stock often - but I only need it filled once every few months. The large bottles of Argon are always in stock...but no helium.

I'm sold on Home Depot. They swapped out my smaller tank for a larger one. No up charge. $39 bucks.

Airgas in Arlington. Google for the number, I don't know it as of this moment
