Working on my buddy's new car that he bought today. Had a lot of valve noise. got under the valve covers and found Proform Pedestal Mount Extruded 1.7 Aluminum Roller Rocker Arms. These have the adjustment on the push rod. My question is what is the proper way to adjust these rockers.

If you are referring to the difference between pedestal and stud mount they aren't the same....pedestal mounts are adjusted with shims (and of course need to be correct PR length too). Those are cheap rockers and do tend to be noisy even when they are shimmed right, though.
