  • Should I part the roller? Just feeling it out.

Trying to decide wether or not to part the red roller. It's basically stock, but everything is in good shape. seats aren't ripped, interior is decent. I have hypercoated Fr500's on it, 4.56 gears, flow 40's in a magnaflowcb, all the A/C, ps, stuff etc. 102,000miles, clean history, no hail. The paint is alright, But fading as it is laser red.

I was thinking I could get about $1500 for the complete roller.

    If I part it:

    I Could Sell:

    Five lug brake stuff- $?
    A/C- about 250
    Seats- about 400
    Wheels - about 400
    Catback- about 150

and I'm sure all the little stuff- Door panels, body panels, rear end, etc. could net me at least another $500. Which would bring more than $1500. But Is it worth it?

I don't know what kind of market there is for this kind of thing. What would you do?

Sell it as a whole. Easier to sell, less work, less low balling.

I do plan on selling it at this point. But I feel like I may end up having trouble finding a buyer and not sell it. I figure $1500 would be about as little as I would take for it. Anything under that I can make better money parting it.

Sell the brakes and rear end and then you're left with a car on jackstands.

What are you going to do then? (this is where I'm at now with a 89 GT)

can't remember, is it a cobra or gt, I parted a 98 gt that was a running and driving car, while I did ok on this, it was a pain in the ass. I ended up chunking all the a\c, no one even hit on it. Still have a few misc. pieces sitting around from it.

You'll have more trouble and a longer process to get rid of all the parts. Yes in theory you have the potential to make more money but only over a course of time. So you'll be stuck with holding the parts and soon it'll wear on you having space being consumed by parts with no use to you.

I speak from experience this is exactly the position I'm in right now. I've gotten out of the mustang scene and stuck with literally a garage lined with mustang parts that I don't have any use of.

being a cobra I'd try to sell as a roller, if you get no serious bites within a couple weeks then post up pricing for the larger parts, brakes, diff, interior, etc and see what kind of interest you have in it.

I would buy a roller cobra quick. Should sell easily at that price.

The only problem is that its not much of a Cobra, other that the snake badges and vin. No 4v ,it has gt brakes, gt air bag. Other than that its a cool car.
