For saftety, Id put a jack under the rear end and one under the front k-member....if that car starts to fall, all 4 stands are going the same direction. Ive seen people putting torque on various parts and shifted the whole car. Talk about make you pucker up!!

I've never had a vehicle up on all 4 corners, but any time I've had the vehicle on 1 or 2 jack stands, I always have the jack placed somewhere as a fail safe measure.

There has been a time or two when I had my truck on jacks that I didn't use the jack, but only because no wheels came off, and there's plenty of clearance to not get crushed should it topple. I made damn sure no limbs where under a tire at any time though.

Greenbullit, I can see the bults from the top but a wrench doest have the clearance to break them lose. The wrench ends up too close to the firewall.

Personally I think it'll be more work trying to get the motor out from the bottom. From the looks, you arent going to have enough clearance under the car to get the motor out..

On my 4.6 back in the day, I had to use a combination of extensions and swivel joints tio get the top bolts on the bellhousing.
