I thought we already put this thing to bed. If I'm reading the following correctly: "PLEASE REMEMBER THAT BUDGET IS A BIG DEAL!!!!" then do a budget 302 build. You can do a GT40/P, small cam, Eddy intake, 550-600 carb for very little. You WILL NOT beat the bang for the buck. Just do it and quit posting up polls.

I say turbo 4. Much cooler than a carbed 302 in a fox. Everytime I see a carb in a fox it turns me off. I dont know why either...

To be different, and 2.3L motors are all but bullit proff from what I know of them.

They are until 400hp. (just going by what the guy in this thread said) That is nothing these days, might as well get something with some room for improvement later on in my opinion. But to each there own I guess

No I agree, Thats way now im leaning toward a single blow thru turbo'ed 302 or 351w.

Well im got enough money together to buy a rebuildble motor. The 351w got the most votes and the 302 got the least. The LS Is not going to fit in my budget so the turbo 4 banger gets the number 2 spot...

How hard is 351w in a fox? I really thought it was jut a bolt with some hood fitment issues? Its going to be a carb motor so what do yall think?

Put an RPM int on it or stealth and a drop base aircleaner. The airgap is the same height as the Vic Jr.

Keep in mind, people voting aren't paying for anything. You will most likely need a new hood with a 351, unless you cut a hole in it and put like an '82 GT hood scoop on it.

I still say the most simple, cheapest, bang for the buck is a well put together 5.0.
