'95 GT A-Pillar Wiring

Hi guys. I mounted a shift light on the pillar behind the inspection sticker and am not sure what the cleanest wire routing will be. What do you guys like to do?

Run the wires inside the pillar and behind the kick panel. Put a nice rubber grommet on the a-pillar though so it looks clean.
