If you swap the input shaft they will work.

The thing is i have a promotion cryo treated t5 that my buddy took out of a fox. he said that its for a 94-95 mustang. He claims that he put it in the fox with no changes to the trans. Can that be done. would it even work in the fox. he said he had to make room for the shifter. I was told that tremec came in foxes and borg warner came in the sn95. The housing says borg warner. Is there any way to tell by the numbers what it came out of. Sorry for all the questions. I am just trying to figure out what i am in for.

Without swapping the input shafts you would need to use the corresponding bell housing. Fox trans, Fox bell, SN trans, SN bell. It works but you are moving the trans back and forth about 5/8".

Tremec took over the production of the T5 from Borg Warner so the later and post production units would be Tremec.

You can get the casting year off the side of the case. There is a circle with a year embossed in the side.
