Running pig rich

My son has a mass air converted 5.0 with B cam, Trickflow heads, 1.70 roller rockers, RPM intake, 70mm throttle body, stock mass air and 19 lb injectors.

We found a vacuum leak at the back of the intake, no problem as it is an easy fix but the car has been running pig rich, 10 mpg all around with 3.55 gears and a built AOD with 2800 stall converter.

We are going to pull the intake and reseal it and upgrade to 24 lb injectors and matching Pro-Mass. Any idea's as to what could be causing it to run pig rich? Maybe too much fuel pressure?

I am stumped as to why the gas mileage sucks so bad.

here's a long shot, but if you didn't disconnect the battery after you fixed the vacuum leak then its probably still throwing a code. i would disconnect the battery and touch the positive cable to ground, or leave the key on for 5-10 min with the battery disconnected.

do you have egr or smog?
