  • Need a stock shortblock. Where?

My buddy bought this pos 95 mustang that had all sorts of issues. The biggest issue is the engine has so much blowby that it completely blows out the dipstick and sprays the engine compartment with oil when you floor it. I'm going to install a breather and a catch can in the pcv line today. I know people say no PCV with an open breather but it's looking like the only way. Where can I buy a good, used shortblock or a good rebuilt one on the cheap? I see LMRS has a rebuilt 302 for $699+shipping without a core. Is this my best bet? Anyone have a known good shortblock?

I don't think the $699 shortblocks have forged pistons if it matters to you.

City Motor Supply. Might also check Craigslist.
