Wouldn't this be a waste of Steve's (or his wife's LOL) time and fuel?

My wife still gets a kick out of all the kids that tend to pull up on her trying to race a woman driving a station-wagon....it's usually ricers tho...but either way an even bigger kick on those rare occassions when she decides to go ahead and bust one off in their ass!

How does that Barg work with your friends??

"Dude, I pulled up on this woman in a station wagon, it was red so you know it had to be fast....yeah, anyway I totally threw her a rev and then when the light turned green I was all over it...bouncing the rev limiter...grabbing gears....you couldn't even hear her car....dumb bitch, I think she must've left it in drive or something b/c it wasn't until I was getting into third gear that she blew past me and started pulling away....but man, I hung on her...yeah man, I mean I was hanging like 5-6 car-links back.
LOL, it's fun to roll down the rear windows and let them see the babyseat in the back.

Yes, it's an SRT-8 and I drive it everyday now. My wife has an Accord V6 coupe for her daily and she retired the Mach from daily duties with just 68k miles on it (I think )which is just sitting in the garage now sitting next to the Cobra. lol.

For the sake of keeping the record straight.

I have never raced a srt8, but I have ran a few R/T chargers and I pulled them by a car or so. At the track the 5.7 hemi cars run mid 9s on street tires, and they can dip into the 8s with some sticky tires. The SRT 8 cars run mid 8s.

Just about what my Mach has (69,500 miles). I've started taking the TRE to work and haven't even started the Mach in three weeks.

        • SRT8 and the Mach 1 should run pretty close to each other.

From what I've seen at least.

I've been starting her car about once a week so the heat doesn't zap the battery. I need to take it for inspection and will start cruising out to the meet when the Friday night meet starts back up again. It's been the best car we have ever owned, never given us a single problem.

LOL, I bet the Mach hasn't been over 80mph in at least a year, maybe more.

Does the c head cars have problems with carbon build up
On the ImRC plates like the b head?

They say if you take it passed 4,000rpm to get the plates to move will cure that

No. This car runs flawlessly like the day we bought it brand new off the showroom floor at North Central Ford. It was daily driven by my wife 90% of time from Wylie to Garland and back to Wylie, Monday through Friday and sits on the weekends where I clean it every weekend.

I don't think C headed cars have IMRCs.

True they have 1 port instead of 2.

For somereason I thought they had some type of runner management.

And Steve, that car is gorgeous. Well done.

I'll race you in it from a dig if you'll also do one from 30 to 100....

And I'll go a dig in my new car too...but then you have to do one from 60 to 130. Deal?

I dont even think my car will go 130. 5th gear is a turd.

Ill run the r/t from a dig to 100 or 20-120.

30 is fine if you want. FYI that's 3500rpm in 2nd for me. All I have to do is grab third and look in the mirror.
