bone stock my lt1 did 8.9's @ ~80 w/a 2.0 60' and would barely trap over 100mph...no way you'd trap anywhere near there with a stock 5.0 powerband

probably more on the money. my buddy had a stock (aftermarket muffler) c4 vette, auto, ran 8.8's in the 1/8th at 82 and went 13.6 @ 99mph w/a 1.8 60'

You know there is a huge difference in power when trapping 98 vs 103 right? And right at 100 is probably about right

Yes, just ball parking around 100.

Mid-high 13 on st tires.

Low mid 13 on slicks if I can get it to 60ft.

That is why I want a high rpm screamer. Yeah my engine thread was failure but I've always wanted a 351 fox and with the right set up 7000+ rpm isn't out of the question.

these don't make peak torque till around 7600............but all the thinking is done, which sounds like a plus in your case.
