I bet I know who it is but I wont say. I say that because that shop did a gear swap for a buddy years ago and came back and developed a leak a few weeks later. We went to pull the cover and one of the bottom bolts was snapped off and the bolt head was just RTV'd on the cover.

That being said, since the natives want shop names. Stay away from EAGLE TRANSMISSION in PANTEGO!!!! That goat fucker put a tranny in my '96 Toyota Camry and about a month later I went to change the oil and noticed he only put half the god damn bolts in!! Half the bell housing bolts, half the k member bolts, the intake boot was torn and a few other things were broke or missing. I didnt care enough to raise hell because its a beater and all they would have done is say it was already missing.

Holy crap that looks like I fixed it, which is the reason I now pay people to fix things.

Those bellhousing leaks can be very serious...all your clutch fluid could leak out and then you would be stranded.

Before i owned it. I Went to swap the shifter out and found this today. Broken shifter bolt and a tube of orange sealent. The trans to bellhousing is covered in this orange shit as is the head cooling mod he had them install!

I do better work in my driveway.
I came to your shop a few months back and talked to you about a local shop that didn't put a bolt back in the differential cover. When I replaced the bolt I went ahead and replaced the fluid and found they didn't bother using a gasket to seal the cover.

I think its a adapter plate of sorts that goes between the tranny and bellhousing. I see the same thing you do.
