house paint overspray removal?

What is the best way to get exterior paint off a vehicles paint? There are 3 houses being built next door to me, today they have been painting them. I came home from town, went in the house for 5 minutes, went back to get something out of my car and noticed these little brown specks on my car. Took a closer look and it is over spray all over my car, the wifes car, and my truck!! I called the builder he is coming by tomorrow. Who is the best detailer? I plan to take all 3 to get a full detail now. hopefully this will come off!! Otherwise they will be paying for 3 full paint jobs!!

don't worry it happens a lot more than you think and assuming its latex paint then all you need to do is a little wet sanding with 2000grit and buff out with your favorite compound.

No its an oil based exterior paint. Already tried to wash the car, but its stuck on there...

Unless they were staining cedar it's going to be latex. The only oil that they use on new houses is on the cabinets and the trim. No oil on the outside except stain on cedar.

Ok its not water based, i can tell you that as it wasnt fully dry and i tried to wash it off, with no luck.. I pulled into my driveway, went into the house set a few things down then came right back outside and found it.. was only on there for maybe 2-3 minutes before i tried to wash it off..

It's 4 million degrees out, and your car/truck/etc. is metal and plastic in direct sunlight. 2-3 minutes is enough time for it to bake on if it's overspray.

I paint houses for a living. By the time a acrylic (latex) paint hits your car, its dry. The heat causes it to stick. You can get it off with a little elbow greese, but clay bar is best. Trust me... its acrylic paint.

damn u got 2 tone paint job on 3 cars and u want them to remove it...im lost...i pay extra for 2 tone paint jobs
