  • Who is running E85

I am making the change. Can anyone comment on this fuel system?

BBRC Custom 18gal aluminum stock replacement tank with a Magnafuel 750 pump with filter mounted inside the tank

-10an from tank to a Y, dual -8an from Y to rear of 1/2 Edelbrock rails (Super Victor EFI Intake), dual -8an to regulator

    Aeromotive 13114, Fuel Pressure Regulator

    -8an return to tank

All my hose is Earl's Pro Lite 350, will it handle the E85 fuel?
I am trading 60# injectors for a set of 160#

Car is a street car (a/c & p/s, etc). Dart 4.125" 347ci, AFR185, Ed Curtis Cam, Super Victor EFI and Edl. Elbow with a 75mm T/b. Precission 76mm turbo and 3.5" DP, 3" cold side and a huge intercooler (might switch to air/water down the road).
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

I am going to call Earl's and ask them also. I already have the hose sitting on a shelf for the tank to the Y, but the Y to the rails and regulator has already been cut and put into fittings.

I would prefer a 12 to pump, 10 to rails/reg/8 return but i think youll be ok (also, that pump is only an 8 out anyway)

This pump actually sits inside and is submersed, I will have to ask with the pickup size is.

My original set up, for sale in the classifieds, is a -12 to filter & pump (Eliminator) from a Aeromotive sumped tank. -10 all the way to the Y is staying the same.

Another guy on Turbomustangs is running the same pump with E85 and made 1200rwhp. That is a lot more than I want to run even on kill.

The damn thing started out as a stock rebuild with a 3/4 RV cam

Can't you put a -10 fitting on that pump? Thats the same pump that I plan on buying later on over the winter for some upgrades.

this pump has the larger inlet, not to be confused with the mp-4303 (pro TUNER 750)

What can I expect to gain from switching to corn?

Lower intake temps at the ports, for lower cylinder temps?
                      Reduced chance of detonation?
                      Lower coolant temps?
                      Higher total timing?
                      Safer?
Lower mpgs? But not an issue and I am going to an 18gallon tank to help the frequency of fill ups.

You are on the corn aren't you? How much did your coolant temps drop? Or what have you heard of them going from and to with E85 over a gas tune?

Yes I am. Not to sure on the coolant temps. Right now its so hot it doesn't matter. lol. But I can tell you this I picked up about a 100rwhp over pump gas on the same boost level after tweaking on the tune an putting in more timing.

Thanks. If I can ever get this thing running.... Now with the change to E85, I am going to have to get a new start up tune from Bob Kurgan for the AEM. I can only imagine how much that is going to cost and the amount of info he is going to need to dial in the coil on plug, etc.

I at least want to start it this trip home just so I can pull it apart and ceramic coat, polish and powder coat after I leave.
