I still say fans and air blowing around the core support. Stopped the fans look like they are not pulling thru about 15 percent, driving on the highway your air is going everywhere but thru the radiator especially with that monster condensor in front of it. You need a custom shroud that encompasses the entire cooling area orrrrr get a griffin with the fan built in.

Did it do it when it had no ac on it? I know you drove it around then.
    Whos your Daddy?

you cant change the way it rotates unless you put the grooved side of the belt around it

we were discussing the couple cooling issues you had and how they were curbed. Im good! hope youre doing well!

I havent got to see the car yet, merely been bouncing ideas, but hopefully I will get some hands on and find the issue at hand

Your fans behind the radiator are pulling, not pushing, right?

There are only three rows that are not encompassed by the fan shroud. Otherwise the fans/shroud meet up and seal very good.

As for air while moving I can see what you mean there and will take care of that issue by building some deflectors and a dam for it, but the car actually does better at speed (not that it doesn't have a problem there, but it can actually maintain temp at speed, its idling after driving around that is the biggest problem.

I did drive the car around, it wasn't quite this hot then, but the car did pretty good temp wise. I've gone through my tune trying to see if anything in the tune could cause the car to overheat but have not found anything, only thing I changed after adding a/c was to give it more base idle air with a/c on as it had trouble compensating for the additional load.

Car runs between 20-25* of advance at idle, wideband shows the car to be 4-5% rich at idle, (narrow bands seem to confirm this reading), manifold pressure around 70 kpa.

Where is the coolant temp sensor located?

Not at all, I'm throwing out ideas to try to help. The pictures are pretty cool, and basically say yes with proof.

the ect sensor for the pcm is located in the front of the drivers side cylinder head (oem location), the autometer sender is located in the rear of the passenger side head (same location as the oem just on the opposite head).

makes the factory belt routing look pretty complex vs. my belt routing (guess thats what happens when you are only spinning the water pump and alternator.
