Shit, i'd be putting on a new condenser also, esp on an old vehicle like that. Damn near impossible to get all the metal trapped in it out.

Those make you lough? I assume that means laugh? So you are laughing at us, and then soliciting my business? That's cool but I will pass. Appreciate the offer veiled in a bash though!

Chili and DJ started early today and replaced the condenser, compressor, lines, orifice tube and flushed the system, vacuumed it out, etc. Still a no-go. They now believe the only thing they didn't replace is the problem.

I don't have any other details yet, so I'm sure he'll chime in shortly.

Yeah. $400 in parts and 8 hours later and still no A/C. That fucking blows. Well, actually, it doesn't blow. At all.

                      Yeah, it blows hardcore.

The only thing we didn't replace was the evap. I flushed the hell out of it multiplle times, until it came out clean. Obviously, the flushing didn't get avery little bit, cause the orifice stopped up as we were charging it. I should have taken my old man's advice and sugested we replace it right then, but it was a cheap checkout to see if it worked , and I was confident it was clean, only because I saw the solvent coming out as clear as it went in. That guy is right more than he is wrong.

Well, it blows, but it still blows hot.

Is the clutch engaging? What are the pressures while it's running? Are you sure the orifice tube is installed in the right direction?

Sounds like either the high or low pressure switch isnt working, and did you replace the accumulator?

Yeah but the new compressor would at least cycle on and off. One it would start cycling the high pressure switch would shut it off if the orifice is dirty. Or the low pressure switch is shot making it not cycle because it thinks it has no refrigerant. Leading me to believe its one of the pressure switches.
