As a mechanic by profession I find it hard to leave bolts out, but there have been some "factory" deletes over the years. I do install all 3 bolts however, even on my personal ride. I usually leave the lower bolt for last so that a can remove the others without the starter moving around. I use a short socket, 6 inch 1/4" extension and ratchet, and then make a handle extension from another 6" extension and socket to break it loose. I've been told by one of our local speed shops that they've put some of there customers cars together with only a single volt because of clearance issues from headers and k members. I'm not that brave...

pretty easy to get out/in with the right tools, done it many times. Two extensions & a snap-on swivel socket does it for me.I always hear people bitch about that bolt and the first time i did one years ago i thought poeple were stupid for leaving it out.Just as easy as a fox with the right tools.

Harbor Freight sells wobble extensions and they will get the job done for about the cost of a 12pk.

I used a 1/2 ratchet with 3/8 stuff because I wasn't sure how hard I would need to turn it given all the torque loss through the multiple extensions and swivels and I only had enought extensions in 3/8 at the time. lol.

Easy, half the time is putting the car on the lift.
