My 4V GT always ran hot as hell in the summer. Usually around 230-235ish. They don't do well in the heat at all.
my 97 cobra, mostly stock, with all new cooling system parts, 03 cobra radiator, new waterpump, new hoses, thermo, etc. runs about 225-230* in stop and go traffic, has never overheated, but always keeps me watching.
