Mass air meter question

How do I test to see if my mass air meter is working? Is there a fuse to it? I am not sure if my meter is working. If my car is running and I pull the plug, it runs the same

blow into it while idling and see if it stumbles

I have even switched it with anouther meter off of a 91! no luck

There will usually be a code for bad MAF. I had problems with mine and it had a code and turned out to be the connector not making contact. Pull the codes and see.
