Losing fuel pressure while driving over time..

never fails,,, example.. start car for 1st time in the morning, runs PERFECT showing 50 psi on fuel,,, but as I drive it,, say after 45 minutes or so it works its way down to 35/30 and starts running like SHIT.. buddy told me it's the fuel pump goin out,, how accurate is that statement?? This has been goin on for a couple months..

Fuel pumps usually just stop working. Might be your regulator.

that's what I used to think until I adjusted it,, ((bbk adjustable)) got it set to hold 50-55,,,, but no matter what, after drivin it for about 45 minutes it drops,,drops,,drops and drops all the way until it shakes and spits and damn near wants to shut off

I'd change the pump. When I had my nitrous car it would run fine on motor.On the n2o It couldn't hold the psi. I've also seen fuel filters do this. Fine when cold but once down the road they plug up.

Hell they are easy to replace. I'd do both.

sounds like that's what's goin on then. i'll just get a new pump, filter and get rid of my FMU/bbk regulator and get an aeromotive boost reference regulator
