Hollow Battery?

Has anyone here hollowed out a car battery to make a false one? Any help?

I've had this idea for years. Battery in the trunk, fake battery in the front location. House your engine electronics there.

or you could run two batteries in the rear or front, with one being a dummy

Learn something new everyday. Hopefully I learn something a little better today, but I guess this counts as "something."

A quick google search did not turn up anything about batteries like this that are for sale.

Are you friends with a shop manager, or parts store manager? Get them to call the supplier and say the display model fell on the floor and broke, got thrown away, and needs replacing. If he asks for more than lunch, you'll be paying too much.
