  • 2009 Mustang GT-ABS light

The ABS and Traction light keep coming on in my wife's 2009 Mustang GT. It has 45,000 miles on it but we are the second owners. When it comes on, it stays on until you turn the car off and back on again. It does not always come on, which makes it hard to get it serviced since I can not duplicate it when I want.

Would this be something covered under warranty?

Possibly Id check to make sure the exciter rings are clean and not damaged.

Could dirt/mud cause this? We do live off of a dirt road on a farm.

The wheel sensors are magnetic. And always pick up shit. Clean those off good too.

Nope. Besides exhaust and lowering springs, the car is stock.

Then it is most likely that the wheels sensors are dirty.....brake cleaner and compressed air do wonders......
