  • Could this be the A/C clutch bearing or the actual compressor bearing

Squeals now almost all the time above 1k rpms and even more once the compressor is on. Should I replace the compressor bearing, the clutch bearing or both? BTW the compressor has been working just fine for those who may ask...

I'd bet clutch bearing. The college boy grandson had that problem, but it would come and go. You know with a hard dick, if it was not squealing it had bound to have fixed itself. Well, it gave birth and destroyed the front of the compressor. After a compressor, a clutch and belt and a new drier and hose plus a tow.........$ 1200.00 later he is riding again. Get it checked. You may only need a clutch.
