So my 97 Continental decides to set itself on fire today via the alternator. It started smoking so i pulled into Walgreens and popped the hood. Smoke was coming form the backside of the alternator, so I ran inside and grabbed their fire extinguisher and put it out.
After all this, none of the electronics worked at all. I left the car their with the windows down and pulled the battery out so its in a friends car.
After I replace the altenator tomorrow, what else could I expect to be screwed up? Will I have any computer problems and whatnot? The fire was really small, and went for maybe 2-3 minutes.
Any advice is appreciated!
