Co-worker has a 1991 1/2 ton Chevy truck. He wants to install one of those TBI intakes from Edelbrock. I told him there are adaptors to but a stock TBI throttle body on an old carb style performer intake, and he liked the idea. I just happen to have a performer intake that came off a 1977 Chevy truck with a 350. Will that intake bolt up to those 1991 heads or will it require a different intake?

I agree on the Vortech heads but funds are tight. He had a blown intake gasket. When he replaced the gasket he noticed the right rear corner of the intake was cracked all the way across. Since I just happen to have the intake I gave it to him. The adaptor is sold at Jegs. It's less than $50 so for $75 including gaskets we can get the truck back up ansd running with perhaps a small performance improvement. He just installed a high flow cat, and 3" I/O muffler last month alonf with a K&N Filter. We will be doing cap, rotor, wires, and plugs when changing the intake. I think I will put 2ยบ of timing in it as well. The tune up, better flowing exhaust, and Performer intake should pep it up a little. Any special tricks to altering the center bolt holes?
