  • Power Steering Pump

I am working on a swap that will not use the PS pump. I do want to leave the pump in the stock location as it works perfect for the belt routing...My question is does a PS pump need fluid in it to keep it from going bad? I swore I read somewhere that fluid is not needed as is does nothing for the pump iteself(as in keeping it cool/lubercated).....

It'll seize up almost instantly with no fluid. You could just loop the lines together but it's going to have a parasitic draw, depending on your application there is very likely a delete pulley you can bolt into it's place.
