Not sure if it been stated but if you reuse those gears, it is going to whine again regardless of what you do. I had a reputable shop put a set of gears in my old fox and the damn rearend came apart on a road trip once. A shop basically put new bearings in it and it was good to go. You don't need to replace everything but while it's apart do it right. Borrow money if you have to but deff do a complete bearing kit.
