    On an 05 Escalade the high pressure switch is in the discharge line of the compressor, basically made into the manifold. For the low side you can probably just use a switch that screws onto the low side schraeder valve. On the Escalade it screws into the accumulator, on the F-body it screws into the line going into the evaporator core.

          Meh, that wont work in for me, I think I have put together a list of fittings and hoses I'll need. The way I understand it (and please correct me if I am wrong) is that GM uses 3 sizes on the newer a/c stuff (98+ fbody, 05 escalade)

          #6 - 3/8th - used between orfice tube and condensor
          #8 - 1/2 - used between compressor and condensor
          #10 - 5/8th - used between compressor and accumulator

          So after trial fitting everything last night here is what I came up with:

          For the evap to condensor line I am going to reuse the stock fbody line (that houses the orfice tube) and just extend it by splicing in with #6 line, this will allow me to reuse the high pressure service port as well.

          For the Compressor to condensor I am going to have to buy a new fitting for the compressor, then come off that with a 90* beadlock fitting then run #8 hose to another beadlock fitting, then braze that onto the factory condensor fitting that I will cut from the factory Escalade hose I have.

          For the Compressor to the accumulator I will cut off and reuse the compressor fitting i have from my factory Escalade hose, braze a 45* beadlock fitting to that, then run #10 hose to 90* beadlock fitting that I will braze a new accumulator fitting to and bolt that to the Escalade accumulator that I will mount in front of the passenger shock tower.

          Then I will go from where the factory Escalade accumulator normally bolts to the evap with a fitting (that I will take from the other end of the factory compressor to accumulator line, the male one opposite the compressor fitting I already reused), into a 90* beadlock fitting, run hose through the fenderwell towards the firewall and have it come out on the back side of the passenger strut tower, then up to another 90* beadlock into a fitting (that I will cut and reuse from the fbody accumulator I have).

          So the parts would look like this

            Or just take everything to Kim's hoses and have them custom make the lines for you and enjoy a decent lunch at Angelo's while you wait!

                I got a feeling that'd be WAY more expensive. Although I will need someone to crimp the beadlock fittings for me. Anyone know a place that is cheap?

                Also, can you see in alldata what thread pitch the low pressure switch used on the 2004 express 2500 is? Only part number I can find is FOUR SEASONS Part # 37308

                  They don't have any kind of specs regarding thread pitches in Alldata. You're lucky if they have actual diagrams of the car you are working on, most times it's a stock photo.

                  Kim's was always reasonable every time I used them.

                      Seems to me the easier way to go about this would be using the fox evap, drier, condenser, low pressure switch, and ac controls along with custom line. This is how I was planning on tackling this.

                      Custom line - ?$$
                      Sanden 508 compressor - $250
                      H&H classic ls1 camaro Sanden bracket - $99
                      5.0 resto R134a bar and plate condenser - $80
                      Misc. green orings, PAG46, R134a - $30

                      FYI - R134a is $8 a can at Big lots

                        Bump for good info as I start down the same path.....

                        Time for my Cobra money pit to get some chilled air too.

                        I know I should be asking a hose shop, but other than the two that were referred by other board members I don't know who to go to. Stuart Hose doesn't do any aluminum brazing, and the guy at Kims Hose was in a rush and while he said he could do it I am a little worried he didn't exactly know what I want. I tried buying a bunch

                        Got the A/C system on the LS-coupe ready to charge. Called Firestone and they want 130, called PepBoys (have $15 off coupon) and they wouldn't give me an exact number (?) but said it should be around 130 as well. Just wondering if anyone somewhat local to me has a setup or has a hookup at a shop. Ended up going with a

                          Ya buddy! It is worth it 100x over. Just be aware that it will test your current cooling system! You might be okay with the e85 and having a 6spd, no tranny cooler, better front fascia, etc.

                            You need to make the power tour with us.

                            I think as long as I can keep air moving over it I will be good. I am going to look at getting the absolute largest condensor I can fit and maybe start looking at other fans. Right now I am using the factory '95 fan. I heard that the '97 Cobra condensor is more efficient and the lines route where I want them to.
