What kind of fox weighs 3400-3500lbs??? That sounds like a sn95 vert.

I bought my car bone stock, took it and weighed it. 3080lbs. It's now at 2960lbs.

Shit a GT fox weighs 3250-3300

    320rwhp. 7.67 @ 90mph 1.7 60'

We ran from like a 30 and I had him by about a car by 80mph with him getting the punch.

I've ran 2 lt1s. I beat one by about a car and one by around 2.

I have always wanted to run another, but I don't see them often.

You don't have to believe me. But I don't have any reason to lie.
Little bit more believable from a 30MPH roll. You were probably starting off in 2nd gear. The Vette only has 2.59 gears in 87 with an auto, his 700R4 would have been in 2nd gear, which would have been a power dead zone. Again, add in age factors and proper running conditions, makes it a touch more believable.

Real men race from a dig, women and ricers race from a roll.

He was surprised. He used to be a member on here I think. His name is tad. He had a turbo 2.3 pinto if you remember.

He told me the vette ran strong and pulled hard.

Lol WTF people. Those vettes make 245hp and weigh over 3000lbs.

I make that if not more and weigh less. Why is it so "hard"
LOL, Tad. If he did so much as change the air filter on it, odds are it isn't running right anymore.

                    • Yeah I'm sorry knowing tad it doesn't run right. I bet you drug his ass but then again your car isn't stock . Gears, exhaust, short belt, timing bumped is not stock trim that's early 90's ls1 stock. Plus drag springs and front runners give the light coupe a good advantage. I feel like this site time warped back 20 years. I rember running an aod lx 5.0 hatch against a 88 5.7 a4 camaro and that thing would drag my ass every time.

                        • I don't see why one would beat me.

They make 245hp and weigh OVER 3000lbs.

My car should make 220-230rwhp and it weighs 2960 with ponys all the way around.

Drag springs are not in yet. Was waiting on torque boxes to be welded and better control arms.

So, I should walk those turds.

Tad has just got the car 100% stock untouched.

Nobody cares about slow ass bench racing. You wanted to know how it went down back in the day. You were told, and then you decided that you didn't like the answer. Have fun racing slow ass cars and bench racing, we all did at one point. Just don't try to tell people that have been there and done that how it "should" go.

I agree. Back in the day.. Boy those were some fun times.

Back when cars with 200 horses were fast..... Back in the day a 12 second car was a "Trailer" Car.

Hell by modern standards, my Wifes Camry is on Par with a Fox Car, Actually quicker by stats of the old days. A New V6 Camry can run a 1/4 Mile at 14.2 @ 99 mph, thats quicker than the old fox Mustangs of the day.. Stock Vs Stock.

Weighs 3100 with me in it.
BTW: With those mods, My guess is that you'll run a 14.2-13.9 1/4 Mile time.
And you will not have the Rear Wheel Horsepower you think you will. I bet it will be between 170-180 horses at the rear wheels.

You've done NO ENGINE MODS, so the motor will still have the same power. Back in the 80's they did horsepower with NO ACCESSORIES ON THE MOTOR.

And a 2.0 Second 60' foot time shows you can't drive at the drag strip.
