  • 340lph pump for returnless systems

found this on corral.net's classifieds and thought i'd share. i am probably going to pick one up since the shitty svt focus pump isn't going to cut it for my new set up and i don't feel like dropping 1k on twin gt or cobra pump conversion.

this ad is for their return style pump but if you read down they say they are testing their new returnless version and then towards the end of the thread they said that it is finally ready for purchase for $119.99

    your welcome.

These are identical pumps to the Walbro GSS340 255lph intank fuel pump however they flow 340lph. They require a little modification to the factory canister for installation. The pumps are $119.99 including shipping anywhere in the USA. The pumps will definitely be able to handle your hp needs!

can you run a BAP with it? do you have the flow specs on it? thanks.
You can run a BAP with it but you don't need to. We have flow specs on it. It flows 345lph at 35psi and will be flowing 250lph at 80psi. The pump has been tested up to 100psi flowing 200lph.
just for comparison you can see that is more it flows more than double what a 03 cobra pump flows (119lph) at 80psi.

More then likely the pump in question is a GSS340. that's why they are identical, and the part number is the same except for they way they list it as their own part number. Once you get it in your hand , I'm sure its an actual WALBRO GSS340.

I will bet the house on the fact that pump DOES NOT FLOW 200LPH @ 100 PSI

      You're welcome.

You are only going to get roughly 120 lph out of a single GSS340 @ 100psi @ 13.5 volts.

well I guess if it doesn't perform as advertised then I'll return it. it's better than spending a grand on twin cobra pump conversion.

and maybe the reason they changed the part is because they modified a gss340 to flow more. why would they advertise it to flow more if it's just the same pump? because if it is in fact just a gss340 and doesn't flow like they say there will be a lot of pissed off people who were hoping this would
be the solution/ alternative to the cobra pump/ tank swap. hell if it doesn't work i still won't switch to the cobra set up. I'll just go to a sumped return style system.

I'm not really sure how many pumps it has since I have never owned one but I know that a single 03 cobra pump only flows 119lph at 80psi

what ever it takes for you to buy the part, that's how he is going to sell it. The next best thing, when it's nothing more then the same thing everyone else has been buying for years.

History Repeats itself. a few years ago a guy was pushing these exact same pumps the same way. He was claiming to buy them from walbro , and modify them extensively internally. Someone called him on it, and sent one to walbro. Only thing they found was the check valve on the pump was modified to not relieve pressure at high pressure loads. That's it. No magic pump with magic modifications, just a check valve adjustment that anyone with a little sense can do.

I'd rather have a bosch 044, except for the size difference.
