I have a 1988 IROC TPI 5.7 that needs the timing set & it gone through to get it running solid. Also going to need my front suspension gone through. Looking for someone who specializes in TPI MOTORS to get the stock motor running at its best.

Smoked it, ran from a 30. Gave him the hit and by the time I was scratching 4th gear I had half-1 car on him steady pulling.
Try again.

yup, you guys are forgetting your history... the 5 liters, especially 5sp coupes were king of the streets in the late 80's/early 90's.

Don't know much on early GM performance.
But I've heard a 454 be called a ls7 before and it threw me off.
So what's a ls6 besides the newer 350 that was In the z06 and ctsv?

A 450hp 454 chevy is a ls6.
It should run good, what do those cara weigh?
I've seen a few stock chevelles run mid 9s with 454 badges. Must not have been a ls6.
The ls7 454 was a prototype thing GM did. Was a special head only sold in 71 and 72 from what I can gather.
