  • Front wheel alignment?

I seem to be having problems getting the front end aligned. I took it to NTB, gave them a couple shots at it. IDK if the kid just doesn't know what he is doing on a lowered 03 cobra but its not right. Anyone have a guy that's really good with this type of work around ft worth-weatherford area?

Try George at Accurate Alignment in Fort Worth (Just off of 183 on Vickery). Its a small one man shop. I just went through a problem like yours with the Honda dealer on our 08 Odyssey, and he got it straightened out.

Thanks, Ill give him a call. The kid at NTB was trying to tell me my caster/camber plates were on backwards... I tried to tell them the alignment was fine before I adjusted ride height on the coil overs...

What brand plates are you running and what was he not able to get in spec (assuming it was probably camber)?
Atlantic Blue '00 - '03 Cobra motor and TKO600, solid axle, full MM suspension
        Silver '01 Vette - D1 blown LS

The plates could be on backwards. This limits the range of adjustment in one direction only but will still allow a small amount of adjustment, which is probably why you could get the alignment right before adjusting ride height but not after.

If you're talking about Maximum Motorsports, the plates do flip over to allow for 2 different ranges of camber settings, but that makes no difference on the caster.
What was he trying to set the caster to? On these cars it's good to run some positive caster for both cornering and straight line stability. MM recommends 3.6 positive caster for street cars.

Yes they are maximum motorsports. Ill keep that info in mind, I have no idea what he was trying to set for sure, he just kept saying he couldn't get one of the casters in spec. he was probably setting it to the specs in the computer for the stock cobra.
