  • any cast piston guys using nitrous?

or am i the only one dumb enough to think it'll be ok. car is a 86ish shortblock with non forged passenger style pistons. got a holley650, Heads and cam, dual plane motor sport intake, and full exhaust. basic 300rwhp setup. i was thinking a 50-100hp shot would be safe as long as i dont get greedy, knock down the timing, colder plugs and run a microswitch. im also switching to automatic so i can stop missing gears and hitting the damn limiter on the 6al.

    what do you recommend?

With a 100 shot you don't need to worry about plugs but I would back the timing down to 10 and start from there but only when you are on the spray . Run it , listen and look , then up the timing as able . This is the reason Mike , Dale and myself run the dig6 so we can back the timing with a dial that only activates on the spray so its not dogy off it .
