  • Fuel tank question

I think this might have been unplugged. Could this be the reason why it sounded like a tractor? The guy at oreilys sold me a looser fitting fuel pump hose but it fits well. Could that be the reason? Just trying to find out why this pos sounds like a tractor. This was unplugged.....I think

That being unplugged is not going to make your car sound like a tractor. You need to check your exhaust system for leaks for that great sounding farm sound.

I just went over the tank again and every thing looked ok. I figured it was fuel cause it lost alot of power and this happened after I replaced the tank. The fuel pump and filter have been replaced already. Pump, about 30 miles ago.

That vent connects to the charcoal canister, if I'm not mistaken, and is not the source of your power loss or any other drivablity problem.

just trying to rule some stuff out before i get back in it this weekend. Could it be that the hose i bought from oreily is not allowing enough fuel to get through? i was looking at new pumps online and saw that they come with an S shaped tube. i think the one i used might have been straight....maybe the bend it pinching off some much needed fuel?
