  • 98 cobra motor swap into 03 mustang

    I'm doing a 98 cobra motor swap into my 03 gt I was wondering if I can somehow use the cobra ignition coils and wires using my gt wiring harness ? I have a set of svt valve covers that I would like to use but they will only work if I use wires instead of my gt coils , does anybody know how to wire the cobra coils ? I have the pigtails from the cobra ignition coils also if that makes the swap any easier

    it's 2 totally different types of systems, you could go from coil pack(like the 98 uses) to coil on plug pretty easy, but to make the 98 stuff work in the 03 would be a mess I think.

      Well the 98 coil packs have 3 prongs on the pigtail ... I just didn't know if someone knew of a way to make the coil pack get the correct firing signal using my coil on plug ignition . Ya I guess it would be much easier to just stick with the coil on plug ignition

                would a 99-01 cobra or 03/04 Mach 1 ignition setup work?

                          I think you met my bro north of whitesboro , he described a car similar to yours , he said you went into a ditch out by where he lives . Car still ok ?
