Removing a security tag

Anyone know how these work? I know its magnet based. Im using 2 3/8" neo magnets but Im thinking they arent strong enough. Watched the video on Alpha's website and it looks pretty easy. After screwing with it, and not making progress, youtube show'd a similar setup with magnets.

And before people say I stole it...check the receipt. I paid for it and the people didnt remove the tag. I know I could take it back and ask them to take it off, but its more fun trying to break into the thing.

Slide it off in one piece and place it inside an A/C vent at someone else's place. When the battery starts dying the alarm will sound and watching someone try and track down where that ungodly noise is coming from is cheap entertainment.

after reading on the above forum for stealing... I found out I need stronger magnets. It needs about 40lbs of pulling power.
