  • FI head choices

I've recently been thinking about doing a EFI and forced induction small block Ford for my Torino but I have no idea what kinda heads are any good for these motors. So what heads are good for FI and flow enough to make around 600hp in a 400+ ci NA motor until I get to the FI setup?

From digging around it seems like AFR 225s, Trick Flow High Ports and CHI 3Vs are choices that people have recommended in the past but are there better heads to choose from?

Mostly weight and packaging reasons. It's not originally a big block car so I'm not worried about it. Also, you ever work on a shock tower Ford with a big block? It's a real pain, and I wanna make this car into more of a driver too

Yes I have worked on big block Mustangs! But, here is what you need and I suggest you consider these heads for your build.

I believe you goal are very easily achieved!

AFR's are great heads, but 225 will be to large. I would go with the 185's for street use. IMO

but pissing everyone off is a piece of cake

                400+ CI, I'd go with the 225's

I wish I could afford boss 9 heads!

I know that a 225 size is appropriate but are there any other selections than AFR or trick flow?
Does any one have any thoughts on running a Cleveland style head?
