I am changing the differential fluid in my 94 GT. Finally. So anyway, should I go to autozone and get one of those fel-pro gaskets? Or should I just use that RTV gasket maker goop? I'd heard from a couple people that you want to use the goop, and just skip the storebought gasket. They said that they tend to fail, and just making your own gasket out of the goop tends to work better. Is there any truth to this? Keep in mind I'm just a humble shade tree mechanic so I don't now stuff like this.
