I've been around racing since I was 8, this isn't something new to me. I have a lot to learn but my ears are not as wet as you all think

Will you take a video camera with you when you run these slicks and post it up here, please?

        It's in the works.

No sense in launching that hard. I get 2.0 on street tires

Dude, that's neat and all that you've been around racing since you were 8. However, the simple fact that you are willing to cut corners of this magnitude speaks volumes about your green horns.

It's cool, though. Everyone has to learn their own way.

Just cutting them for a night to see how it goes.

Here's a question I have. What air pressure should I run?

Is that something I have to get a feel for aswell?

For you who think I'm going to go out and wreck my car and fuck up at the track, I say thanks. I guess haters never stop hating.

You know I the verbiage used by some of the folks may not sound entirely positive but there is some constructive criticism. I view it in a risk/reward point of view I know you want to cut a sub 2.0 sec 60ft but is it worth the risk of causing damage to you're car or another not imo.

In fact I'm curious as to see if they would even help that much as that much tire might just bog you down to the point of making you slower idk.

It is a strange sensation, I'd start at 15psi if it's a et street type slick. You should hook up with even more pressure then that though if you are mostly stock.

Guy ended up not letting me know on the tires today, so I went and made even more passes on street tires.

                            9.05 @ 80mph 2.08 60ft, and spinning in second. :/

                            Same time, differant day.

a 2.0 60 ft is decent for a street tire so why is the car only running 9.0s with an 80 mile an hr trap?

Because it should get atleast a 1.8 60ft being it weighs less then 3000lbs.

If you are trying to call out my driving abilities, It was scratching the tires through 4th gear, and steady pulling.

                                I'm EASING into 1st gear.
