Whats goin on guys, first post on here and Im hoping someone here can help. My roommate has a 98 cobra and spun a bearing, so we had the motor rebuilt with a tough bottom end so he can boost it when he gets more cash. we reinstalled the motor, hooked everything up and double checked it all twice. when we went to start it, it would crank but fuel pump never came on and no spark...checked pump it was getting power so we replaced it and now we have fuel but still no spark..checked the fuel rails and they have pressure...and now the theft light has started blinking when we crank the motor...wtf. the theft light never blinked before now, fuel pump comes on as it should no spark...any ideas? I figured pats but it doesnt throw any codes on the obdII, also obdII doesnt register rpm when turning motor over, we have replaced the ckp anyways...all fuses are good as well... i can work on any car and im starting to feel like a

damnit...thats what i figured, but i dont understand why it would of been fine until we replaced the fuel pump...it only started doing that after we got fuel to the lines...weak.
well my next question is this, do any of you do tuning or comp flashing in home, being it wont start and we would prefer to not have to tow it somewhere, he is willing to buy a sct tuner or similar...any ideas on how we could go about doing this?

Here are some things to check...
Behind the trunk liner on the driver's side you will find the PATs equipment. Jump the two prongs sticking up to reset the PATs. Once reset, the locks will cycle lock and unlock. Give it a shot then.
If that doesn't work, you can do this...
"The 98 Mustang is type B pats you need 2 pats keys minimum to make this system to operate. Have you tried both keys? Make sure when ever you hook up your battery that the ignition is off.
