the ring "packs" are less than desirable imo, but hypers are made with longevity in mind, not power. No, they dont like to be detonated. I have seen mod motors use oil, but never seen an outright ring failure without probable cause, even then, more than the rings failed by that time anyhowRing and pinion specialist
