Looks like they didn't put a t5 behind a 4.3, unless it was 88. I can't see what the engine requirement for a manual, but hollander says first gen s10 either 2wd or 4, and all 4cyl, and v6 are lumped together."If I asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses." - Henry Ford

This may help more:
It would let you use your three-speed bellhousing and the S10 V6 (2.8l?) T5.
Not sure if it helps.

Ok, so I have a WC T5 out of a Early '90's Camaro that I'm going to use in my Chevy pickup.
What I need is a T5 parts tranny out of an S10 pickup that had a 2.5 4 banger or 2.8 V6.
I'm wanting to change the tailshaft and shift rail/forks to move the shifter forward to work with my bench seat. Where the shifter is now, it comes out under the front edge of the seat and that won't work.
Anyone have, or know where I can get, a T5 from an S10 ? I don't want to spend a bunch of money on a good transmission, because I'm just going to be robbing parts off of it. I've checked Craigslist and haven't found anything that will work.
Any transmission shops I should check that might have the parts I need ?

If I am correct, he would need a 10"-12" C-shape on the shifter. The S-10 shifter location puts the shifter at a the best spot.
I am no help, but you can try car-parts.com as mentioned before and see if any of the local places might have a tranny.
You might try to contact this guy, he has an S10 5-speed, not sure which though.
This might be the same guy but a different ad.
