  • Those with S/C 4V's

What engine oil are you guys running ? I am running Valvoline s5w/40. The previous owner was using 20/50. It is burning some oil, but I guess that is common with the 4V?
    Thanks

some mod motors have problems with oil consumption. I like using custom pistons with a more desirable ring pack when building them...are you sure you arent losing oil through the pcv system being as its supercharged?

Valvoline 5w\30 for me. I run what my machinist tells me too based on bearing clearance.

I run Amsoil 5w20. Mod motors have tighter clearances than old pushrod motors so I wouldn't use anything too heavy.
