No, i have used stockers to replace them. Beware of the Vatozone distributors too, I have never had one last more than a few weeks. They have a lifetime warranty of course but the problem is that sometimes they will take out your TFI module when they go. I have had my best luck with stock distributors from other cars, they seem to last a long time.

The whole thing is a clusterfuck for sure.

The MSD distributor might be better if it isolates the sensor from heat, I have never looked at one. I have always had good luck with MSD parts.

OK still need advice..... update on issue.. I put a new stater or pickup in the distributer, aswell as a module, new plugs, rotor and cap. The car is not detonating any more but it has missfires on numbers 3&6 cylinders. The wires are next but I've looked the over and no cracks of Burns in any of them. Anyone?? Could the mass air cause this?

This sounds like the same problem i had with my 95, i pulled out the MSD Dist. and bought an A1 Cardone from Oreilly's problem solved!

Have you made any performance changes lately? Could also be needing a tune! Have you cleaned the MAS lately?

Clean the MAS if you haven't already done so. If that doesn't do it i'd be willing to bet its something distributor related!
