  • Finally got the coupe finished.

After 2 weeks of hell with this car.

Falling on me, and taking the driveline out.. It's finally all together.

New clutch disk, sealed and torqued flywheel bolts. Thread locked and torqued clutch pressure plate..

I'll be damned if my vibration isn't there anymore, it pulls smooth to 5100, and shifts fine no grinding!

I think I am having the same issue. I am gonna get a new clutch and flywheel and bolts. Cause I am missing the dowels in the flywheel. So I think that is why I have a vibration. Idk

Not having the Dowels in place can cause the pressure plate to move and have a vibration.

Just be sure to propely torque them in sequence, also when you're putting on the block plate and bell housing, make sure it sits flush with the block, and on the Dowels. Because that will cause a vibration as well.

That's what I was thinking when I had the clutch off the last time then went and looked for a new clutch and flywheel that's when I noticed I didn't have sowed on my flywheel. So at certain rpms it vibrates. Thanks I will do that when I can afford them both.

The Dowels are cheap, and any machine shop should have some and they should put them in when you have it resurfaced. 20-40$ depending on where you go, clutches are 120ish after tax at the zone.

The hardware from late model should cost around 12 for the clutch and 20ish for the flywheel.

Although, just use thread sealant on the flywheel bolts, but get get new pressure plate bolts. 242 thread lock them and be done.

Is the front end still all jacked up?

No, that's been taken care of.

Only thing holding me back is the damn oil Pan gasket.

If it breaks again, I'll just fix it again.

I didnt buy this car to turn a profit, I feel like owning a car knowing you plan on selling it would be a drag.

Who's to say I'd sell it to any of you?
